Changing Password

Forgetting a password or needing to change it for security reasons is common. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to reset passwords in different scenarios.

1. Forgotten Password Reset:​

If you've forgotten your password:

  1. Navigate to the Login Screen: Access the platform's main login page.
  2. Click on "Forgotten Password": You'll typically find this link below the password input box.
  3. Enter Your Email Address: Provide the email associated with your account.
  4. Follow the Instructions: Check your email for a password reset link or code. Click the link or enter the code as directed.
  5. Set a New Password: You'll be prompted to create a new password. Confirm it, and you're all set.

2. Changing Your Own Password:​

If you're logged in and wish to change your password you can do so from your profile page:

  1. Go to Your Profile: Navigate to your profile page, typically found on the top-right corner or within a settings menu.
  2. Access "Change Password" Option: This might be a tab or a button within your profile settings.
  3. Enter Current Password: For security, you'll be asked to input your current password.
  4. Set a New Password: Input your new desired password and confirm it.
  5. Save Changes: Ensure you save or confirm changes for the new password to take effect.

3. Changing Other Users Passwords:​

Admins have the authority to change passwords for other users on the account:

  1. Navigate to User Management: From the dashboard, go to the 'User Management' or 'Manage Users' section.
  2. Select the Desired User: Browse the list of users or use the search function to find the user whose password you wish to change.
  3. Access "Change Password" Option: Click on the user's name or profile and find the "Change Password" option.
  4. Set a New Password: Enter the new password for the user and confirm it.
  5. Save Changes & Notify User: Ensure you save changes. It's best practice to notify the user about the password change, advising them to update it to something personal and secure upon their next login.

  • Always choose a strong and unique password combining letters, numbers, and symbols.
